Kenya has been grappling with the scourge of Cancer and its detrimental effects that cut across families affected directly or indirectly. With about 47,887 new cases every year and an overwhelmed system, Rotary has taken upon itself to focus its humanitarian work towards assisting those walking this journey.
We have made great achievements in the almost eradication of Polio in collaboration with institutions such as WHO and UNICEF. The Sunshine rally is another united success that focuses on children who are differently abled and now we want to put our effort and resources into the cancer space.
Come join us for the very first Cancer walk hosted by Rotary in conjunction with various institutions such as the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the National Cancer Control Program (NCCP), various patient advocacy programs and many others with the main aim of creating a resource for financial, knowledge and collaborative effort at kicking cancer out of our communities.
